Why bio sulfur?

Sulfur (S) is one of the elements essential for plant growth. The need for sulfur is strongly linked to that for Nitrogen (N), these nutrients work in synergy with each other. The (plant) need for sulfur is equal to and sometimes exceeds the need for Phosphorus (P).

Sulfur performs a multitude of vital functions in plant biochemistry. It is a building block of amino acids such as cysteine and methionine. It is essential for the formation of vitamins such as biotin and thiamine and a multitude of substances in the plant including chlorophyll which, as chlorophyll, provides photosynthesis. If there is a shortage of sulfur, both the yield and the quality of the plants suffer. Sulphur-deficient plants remain remarkably small and spindly. The young leaves are light green to yellow and in the case of vegetables the tuber formation is less. The oil content of seeds is less and the ripening of fruits is delayed.

Sulfur is becoming an increasingly important (organic) fertilizer. Global food production is increasing while sulfur inputs from soil and depositions from the air are decreasing. By lowering the sulfur content in diesel oil in recent decades, among other things, less sulfur from deposition is available for the plant.
And is fertilization with sulfur necessary.

Our biological non-fossil sulfur product is also circular due to its origin from the water purification plant of Paques in Balk. Sulphide-rich biogas is oxidized to elemental sulfur using the Thiopaq® installation. You can find more about this on the following website: THIOPAQ® - PAQUES.
